Vanilla cake is the most delicious cake that everyone loves. It is also calculated on the world’s most famous cake list. I am providing below the best homemade vanilla cake recipe I tried and tested.

It’s best to use vanilla extract in the cake while baking it. Still, you can switch to its alternate, vanilla essence if it’s unavailable. The difference is that vanilla essence is synthetic, containing too little vanilla or absence. In contrast, vanilla extract is the purest form, containing more flavors that taste so good.

The frosting flavor of the cake entirely depends on your taste buds. If you like cream cake, then you can use whipping cream to frost and decorate it. ⦁ 1 tsp. vanilla essence

⦁ One and 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

⦁ Three large eggs at room temperature

⦁ 1/2 cup of butter at room temperature

⦁ Milk as required (room temperature). Use it to soften the batter.

2 cups of whipping cream

1 cup of icing sugar

Two teaspoons of vanilla extract or essence

How to proceed:

Grease a 10-inch round or square cake pan with oil or butter, line the bottom with parchment paper, and then grease the top of the paper with oil or butter. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (176°C) or the cooking pot on low flame.

⦁ Mix the dry ingredients, flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a medium bowl with a hand whisk. Sift all the ingredients and set aside.

⦁ Now beat eggs with a mixer or electric beater until they are fluffy and creamy. Then add granulated sugar and beat again for 2 to 3 minutes, and then add softened butter and beat well. Don’t beat too much. Otherwise, the mixture will lose air.

⦁ Now add the dry ingredients gradually in 4 parts to this fluffy mixture and fold it with the help of a spatula. Add a little milk to soften the mix if it’s getting more complex.

At last, pour the batter into the greased mold and place it in the oven or cooking pot for baking. Check it after 45 to 55 minutes.

⦁ When the cake is completely baked, place it outside and let it cool for several minutes.

⦁ Cool the cake in the pan for 15 minutes, then de-mold the cake by carefully turning the cake layers onto the turntable. Discard the parchment paper.

Frosting Preparation:

⦁ Take chilled cream in a large bowl and beat the cream using an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy for about 2 to 4 minutes.

⦁ Add icing sugar and beat it for some time until it becomes more fluffy and stable.

⦁ Then add vanilla extract or essence and place it in the freezer for half an hour to chill it thoroughly.

⦁ When the cream is chilled completely, cut the cake from the center into two halves, frost the top of one cake layer with vanilla topping, and place the second cake layer on top.

⦁ The remaining frosting should be spread over the top of the cake and set around the edges with a butter knife or small spatula.

⦁ Now fill the frosting in a cake decorating nozzle piping bag and decorate the cake’s top layer by making swirls or cream roses.
