Ingredients:
To Make the Crumble
- Demerara Sugar- 80 grams
- Unsalted Butter- 75 grams
- Plain Flour- 3/4 cups
For the Salted Caramel
- Unsalted Butter- 1/3cup
- Cold Water- half glass
- Sea Salt- 1/2teaspoon
- 250 ml Double Cream- 250ml
- 350 g White Granulated Sugar- 1 1/2cup
For Sponge Cake
- Unsalted Butter or Stork- 350gm
- Self-Raising Flour- 350gm
- Baking Powder- 1 teaspoon + 1 pinch
- Light Brown Sugar- 50gm
- Apples – 2 medium-sized (peeled and chopped weight)
- Ground Cinnamon- 1 tablespoon
- Light Brown Sugar- 350 gm
- Vanilla Extract – 1 ½ teaspoon
- Eggs – 6 large or ten medium
Procedure:
Preparing the Salted Caramel Sauce:

- Cut Butter into small cubes , measure it, and place it aside. Then, measure the cream in a measuring jug and set it aside.
- Take sugar, sea salt and water in a pan, heat it on low heat, and dissolve all sugar. Then let it come to a boil.
- When the mixture starts boiling, it will turn into a lovely amber colour after some time. Turn off the flame. This procedure may take approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
- Whip the caramel and incorporate the double cream. Be cautious, as it may bubble and splatter. Continue whisking rapidly until the formation of bubbles stops.
- Then add Butter and whisk until it melts completely.

- Spread the mixture evenly on the baking tray and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until it becomes golden brown.

- Place greaseproof paper in 10 inch cake tin and set them aside. Preheat the oven to 180C (160C Fan).
- Take a large mixing bowl and put in Peeled and cutted apples. Add light brown sugar and cinnamon to the apples and adequately mix it. Make sure they are coated evenly, and then keep them aside.
- Put sugar and Butter in a stand mixer bowl and beat it until it gets light and fluffy.
- Then, add flour, eggs, and baking powder. Beat for 1 minute, and then add vanilla extract. Then beat again till all mixture is well combined.
- Then, mix in the apples gently.
- Transfer the batter to the cake mould and bake for 35-40 minutes. They are done when they feel raised.
- Allow them to cool in the tin for 15-20 minutes before taking them out and placing them on a wire rack to cool completely.
